Unit 1 discusses about the roles , qualities and responsibilities of teachers and students inside the classroom. The teacher as the manager of the classroom, an organizer of the activities to be performed by the student, input provider and assessor of the knowledge. Furthermore, a teacher must be a good role model to the students and monitors the classroom. On the other hand, different factors must be considered on the learners capability in learning the second language, such as age, culture, language level, and motivation for learning. To assess the student's level, there is a metric which is CEFR established by the Council of Europe, which is to determine the proficiency level of the students in the learned Language.
