No one can deny the fact that grammar isn't hard and complicated to deal with, but on the other hand essential and useful when it comes to improve language performance and correctness. The latter used to be a challenging task, but with practice, it has turned into something entertaining and funny. I do have a great deal of knowledge regarding the content of this unit "Parts of Speech," as I have experienced explaining many things related to this very subject to Swedish students assisting them in their homework. What helped me most was a course that I attended at Stockholm University "English from a contrastive perspective." I still remember the moment I got hold of the course book "A University Grammar of English With a Swedish Perspective," and went like "Oh my God! 586 pages!". Well, everything went well little by little and that with no doubt helped me become able to reach students better while explaining the building blocks of the English language. Thus, I believe that this is vital and important to know if one is to teach English and as mentioned in this unit introduction " ...the odds are that sooner or later you are going to find yourself having to teach grammar."
