This unit describes the parts of speech. In a nutshell, each sentence is formed my words that can be defined according its function. For instance: "Jorge went to Brazil and quickly bought a beutiful car." "Jorge", a proper noum, is also the subject in this sentence that is the doer of the action; "went" is the intransitive verb on its simple past tense, representing the action; "to" is a preposition of movement; "Brazil", the object and also a proper noum; "and" is the conjuction in the sentence because it connects to different parts; "quickly is an adverb because describes and relates to a verb; bought is a transitive verb in the simple past; "a" an indefinite article; "beutiful" is an adjective that represents and describes the object "car". By studying how to breaking down the sentence in its parts and functions, I could understand the structure behind English. Great lesson!
