This unit was enlightening. It covered the dissection of sentences to review how a proper sentence is built and defined. One cannot write a correct sentence or fully understand grammar without knowing the framework of sentences. This was helpful because as a native speaker we are not taught how to speak grammatically. We learn this in English for writing, but not in the framework of learning a language. This was a reminder of how Grammar is confusing and difficult, even as a native speaker who is familiar with the terms and concept. It is even more challenging to someone who is already struggling to learn the language. As a teacher my goal will be to teach grammar with as little "grammar speak" as possible. I feel technical grammar will make learning a language boring and more difficult.
