As a first language speaker we use Grammar effortlessly but through this unit we learnt the systematic structure behind our every single usage. We learnt about the structure of our speech and what it contains. We learnt the precise technique to teach these structures based on a set formula. Through this unit I learnt the terms behind every word in a sentence. Whether it is a noun, pronoun, verb or adverb, article, or preposition. I also learnt about their differences and how I could teach them to second language speakers. For example using the Unit Task and applying my learning throughout the unit, I realized the difference between; Noun and Pronoun. Whereby the Noun represents names of people, countries, things, and groups, and the pronoun represents the noun without specifically naming it. Additionally the reason behind Irregular and Regular Comparative or Superlative Adjectives, due to; being more than one syllables. Like; "taller or tallest" compared to "more difficult or most difficult". I think this unit was mandatory and essential for any teacher teaching English to second language speakers; who are always looking for the formula or a structure to what they are learning.
