This unit was a introductory overview of grammar as it pertains to elements of speech. It described the different types of nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, prepositions and conjunctions and illustrated how they are used in a sentence. This unit was particularly eye opening for me as it brought to light all of the areas that my own English knowledge was lacking, gerunds in particular. I am sure I have never heard that word before. Understanding the different purposes of definite and indefinite articles also proved a difficult concept grasp on first pass.
