This lesson covered the parts of speech including nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, and conjunctions. The lesson covered how each is used in the English language. In this lesson I learned that there are patterns to the structures of regular verbs, including their base, past simple, past participle and present participle forms, but that there are also a great many irregular verbs that exhibit exceptions. I also learned that a gerund modifies a verb and makes it so that the verb is used as a noun (as a subject or object). In the examples used, the verb is modified by adding an -ing onto the verb's ending.
