I never really understood why we have to know different names for different parts of speech. But i guess it does make it easier to explain grammatical structure. Also why sentences have to be in a certain order to make sense and sound correct. Either way it is not an easy starting lesson for many students when they start to learn a language it can be tricky enough without having to remember what they are.
