This unit really articulates what we unconsciously know about the English language. It also gives an awareness of how learners need to start with learning rules about a language that they can then apply as they continue their learning. This will then give the student the tools to continue to structure the language appropriately. This unit also shows that with the many excpeptions to the rule in English, we have to be mindful that this could be confusing to learners.
