This unit explained four past tenses in English. We use them to talk about things that started and ended in the past or things that started in the past and continue to the present. We need to use past tense to describe most of our personal experiences, as well as things that have happened to other people. Therefore, it is very important to know past tenses and to use them correctly. Understanding these tenses can really help the students to describe their past experiences. Students can activate past tenses by story telling, using diaries/ journals, discussing past events, and so on.
