This study unit as allowed me to understand the approach a teacher would need to take when teaching and planning a new vocabulary, grammar and or functions lesson. It allows one to understand what is essential for a teacher to know about their student when selecting the appropriate lesson vocabulary or grammar, for example in selecting vocabulary, one would need to look at the appropriacy to the student and to the task as well as frequency and teachability. This lesson has also allowed me to understand how to apply what I learnt about ESA lesson planning.
