The present tenses are extremely confusing and can often be misused by non-native and native speakers. The present tense has 4 different variations: simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. Along with that, each variation has 3 forms: positive, negative and questions. I have learned that each type of present tense sentence has a 'formula' that can be used in order to use the proper grammar when forming the sentence. I have also learned that this may be one of the more difficult lessons that students will learn, since there are so many different ways of forming a present sentence. Finally, I have gathered several activities and strategies that I can use in order to teach this concept to students.
