As I said in Unit 4, an exploration of verb tenses is review from elementary school for a native English speaker. That being said, I do appreciate the review. I have spent most of my time simply using correct grammar, and I have forgotten the process for acquiring it. It is also important to consider that my acquisition of the English language is a very different for an ESL student. I grew up hearing English spoken properly all around me. It is very unlikely that I will be teaching students who have the same advantage. I need to break down each verb tense to my students and explain things slowly so that they can understand this challenging material.
