I found this unit to be enlightening, encouraging and engaging. I see similar patterns between my teaching style and this unit's suggestions. I want to be more purposeful in utilizing the ESA pattern from introducing to words to accompanying activities. My colleagues often struggle with how to make high school lessons engaging and interesting. I feel the activities suggested here (such as their favorite leisure activities) are perfect for high school. It allows the students to think freely and creatively whilst giving them a framework to engage within. Their is freedom within the structure of ESA.
