In this unit I studied about how to introduce new language to students effectively, including 3 aspects, vocabulary, grammar and functions.Vocabulary is really important to students,especially at early stage when they're motivated to learn basic words so they could get by in the language. After students are exposed to new language for enough time, they will need to know what language means, how it's used and so on, that's when teachers need to introduce them to grammar. Also, language consists functions, such as inviting, refusing agreeing, etc. Language function class will require more activation of language, thus could be more effective with booomerang and patchwork ESA lessons.
