In this unit I learnt the importance around the criteria required for selecting vocabulary i.e the appropriateness and frequency of use. I also learnt what students need to know about the vocabulary i.e meaning and pronunciation. This also applied to the grammatical structures. There were some good examples of ESA lesson plans especially the boomerang and patchworks lessons. It was also good to get the opportunity to put my own lesson plans together.
