This unit discusses about some teaching techniques in the classroom, related to vocabulary, grammar and functions. For example, to teach vocabulary, selected words should be similar to students’ own language and English words they already known. There are also different recommended teaching activities in stages (engage, study, activate). Classroom teaching structure could be ‘straight arrow’ (engage- study- activate), ‘bloomerang’ type (engage-activate- study- activate) or ‘patchwork’ type.
