I found the example of furniture vocal useful in terms of sample activities and work to do at each Engage, Study and Activate stage. It's common knowledge that grammatical structures may be written differently than they are spoken but I would not have considered this in terms of teaching new grammar. I was not previously aware of the term 'functions' before.
