Unit 8 is focused on the teaching of future tenses. Future tenses are one of the most complex areas of the English language. In comparison to the past tense, future tense difficulties are not as driven by abundance of irregular verb forms, rather the difficulty stems from the abundance of tense forms and their correct applicability contextually. Along with simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous, future tenses can involve present simple and present perfect tenses along with the correct temporal adverb and the axillary verb to be combined with the infinitive going to. Each of the above tenses have particular contextual uses which are more appropriate than others. The proper teaching of future tenses will involve stressing the importance of correct tense use with the topic of conversation at that time. As with past tenses, the actual construction of the sentences/phrases are nearly identical to the present tense construction
