Unit two in essence covers nouns, verbs and, the partner parts of speech that make them work. Starting with nouns it covers what a noun is and some of the types including countable and uncountable nouns. The lesson also delves into some of the quirkiness of English when a word such as "chicken" can be either countable or uncountable depending on the context used. This lesson then goes into adjectives and prepositions that modify nouns to describe them more clearly in English. Next the lesson covers verbs. This includes types of verbs such as transitive and intransitive with some of the exceptions; as well as, adverbs which modify verbs to describe action more precisely. This lesson even covers when verbs "pretend" to be nouns when becoming gerunds.
