This unit covers parts of speech including nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, gerunds, preposition and conjunctions, adverbs, and articles. This unit goes in to detail about the explanation of the use of the different parts of speech, the different forms of it, such as for the verb - transitive and intransitive and for the adjectives - superlative and comparative, as well as the articles - definite and indefinite. From this unit I learnt that there are so many different ways in which to form sentences and different structures of certain forms of the sentences. Depending on the sentences used or the context of the sentence there are certain ways of putting the words together in order to form it - basic rules. These basic rules for instance when it comes to adverbs (when there are several adverbs in a sentence) are as follows, place first then manner and then time. At first the information on the articles was very confusing but then when I went through the notes thoroughly helped, and was very informative. I can see why it can be challenging to teach and to learn from a students perspective.
