This unit was very interesting and difficult. It brings to light the fact that we do not tend to study or learn the intricacies of grammar in our own languages. I was surprised by how difficult it seems to learn all of the parts of speech and to differentiate between some of them. I think that the understanding and acknowledgement of this difficulty will certainly be helpful in the future when teaching this material to learners who are new to English. This is definitely material that I will continue to learn and review so that I can know many of the important details by memory.
