Grammar is one of the most feared aspect in learning a language, and English grammar is no exception to this. From this chapter, I learned that it is very essential for English teachers to be aware of the basic grammatical concepts focusing more on the most commonly needed areas in teaching such as parts of speech. Being grammatically aware makes you more competitive in teaching English and boosts your confidence and reputation as an ESL learner. However this doesn't mean that we have to be a grammar perfect and be a walking grammar reference book.
