All these questions have been thoroughly covered in this unit. I learned about: 1. Using of nonverbal communication with students such as eye-contact, gestures, and voice alteration. 2. Grouping techniques (whole class, pairs, individual assignments) pros and cons of each method 3. How to arrange students in class, which depends on many factors (the goal, class size, and class dynamics, age of participants, etc). There are three main types: rows, circles/horseshoe, and individual/separate tables. 4 How to most efficiently write on the board and not lose students' attention. 5. How to properly give individual attention for each student without making them feel uncomfortable. 6. How to avoid excessive TTT and increase effectiveness of STT 7. Best way to give instructions to students (what language to use, how to verify understanding of instructions, how to give demonstrations) 8. Establishing mutual respect and dealing with undisciplined students. It is important to be punctual, engaging, fair to all students, be well-prepared and organized, never lose temper or shout at students.
