This unit has introduced some tools we can use for effective classroom management, for example, eye contact,gesture, the voice and using the students' names. There are also different ways of grouping students for different kinds of activities and instructional needs. Physical space arrangement/ classroom arrangement play an essential role in managing the class as well- orderly rows, circles and horseshoes, separate tables.. Teacher's dynamic, balance of STT and TTT, rapport among students and between us and the students all effect the students' learning. One thing I found most inspiring is setting a series of gesture language to form fast and habitual communication with students. As I know, children are more likely to follow and respond fast to teacher's instruction when they are familiar with the routines (will take some practice at the beginning).
