This particular unit has shown me that experiences in the work force can give a teacher an advantage. As a working professional for the last 25 years I have experienced interaction with both peers and customers. Eye contact is extremely important to establish a rapport and trust. It can also exude distrust and uncertainty if not done at all. The role of a teacher is clearly similar to that of a project manager. You are responsible for a group, you give instruction and expect execution. Like a teacher who spends his or her time talking too much and not allowing a student to grow, so can be said of a micro managing leader. Just as the team lead has to know his or her product and his or her team and convey the mission at hand the teacher must also know the language, the students and be able to clearly instruct the class.
