This unit reflects on the classroom management. It goes into detail how the eye contact should be used in the classroom by the teacher, when to use gestures and their effectiveness, the natural change of voice according to the circumstances and when to use students`s names. The main ways of grouping students as whole-class grouping, pair work, group work and students working on their own are also discussed by providing examples of the advantages and disadvantages of each type of grouping. Classroom arrangements as orderly rows, separate tables, circles and horseshoes could be done depending on the available space, the nationality and the age of the students as well as their personalities. Indications of the teacher`s position have also been given as standing or sitting depending on the circumstances. Ideas how to spend least possible time with the back turned to the class during writing on the board, how to give individual attention, how to give effective instructions and to establish rapport with the students are also presented. Pros and cons are also mentioned regarding the balance between teacher talking time and student talking time, which depends on the lesson and on the level of the students.
