The content of this unit showed the 4 English past tenses and their proper usage. They are past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. In a nutshell, we learn the past simple is used to represent an action that occured in a definite time in the past, also to represent a forward sequence of actions in the past. After that, we see the past continuous form and usage, which represents a continued action being performed in the past, definite time. it's important to understand this action could be interrupted by a situation, also in the past. Following, we study the past perfect that I would describe as the past before a past situation. At the end, we have the past perfect continuous, a verb tense used to represent a continued action that started in the past before something in the past happened and could be continued after this or not, but surely ends before the present time. The lesson also gave us some great teaching ideas on how to work with each of the past verb tenses.
