As in the previous unit dealing with present tense forms, this unit focused on the form, correct usage and common mistakes made when using past tense. I was introduced to past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past paste perfect continuous. I was given examples of common usages for each form as well as some ideas for how to teach them in class. An aspect of this unit I found very helpful, was how it demonstrated the similarities in the way past and present forms are constructed. I feel showing how each past tense form has a clear relationship with it's present tense equivalent will make learning about past tenses less confusing for my students.
