This unit gave me a better understanding of the past in English, as well as the past in French. These different forms are something fairly foreign to me, as a native English speaker. However I have studied the different forms in French. Although they are not similar, my comprehension of French past tenses motivates me and opens my mind up to understanding why we use certain tenses in English and how those tenses are structured.
