It was very interesting for me to compare present and past tenses, especially to find differences in structure and usage between similar tenses, e.g. present simple and past simple. The17-th century educator John Amos Comenius wrote: "To teach means scarcely anything more than to show how things differ from one another in their different purposes, forms and origins. Therefore, he who differetiates well teaches well." Therefore, it was also very interesting to complete task 7 in task sheet trying to explain difference between tenses "to a low-level student", i.e. using simple words and sentence forms, though it wasnot very easy to do. I an looking forward to study a unit about future tenses.
