I feel that I have gained a lot of experience in being creative with lesson plans. Sometimes it can be difficult to come up with ideas that will engage and motivate students but I feel that I am capable of doing this. The basic review of grammar from this course has helped me understand the reasons why I form sentences the way that I do. This will help me in the future when I need to explain “why” to my students. I also gained background information about how a lesson of teaching english as a foreign language would play out and what difficulties I may encounter. I've gained a level of awareness about teaching english that will help me prepare for my future experiences doing so. I'm going to school to finish my degree in Secondary Education but this course makes me feel more confident in my endeavors and asserts my desire to teach abroad before I settle down in a high school.
