What I have personally gained from this course has been a huge understanding of the complex teaching areas it takes to successfully teach students who have little to no english speaking experience. I have learnt so much in terms of the different theories, techniques and methodologies including how to write ESA lesson plans using the engage, study and activate phases and what activities and materials should be used for each phase. I have learned so many different theories concerning grammar, vocabulary, patterns of speech, and other teaching skills necessary, which will all be put into action in the classroom. This will be seen through the activities that I plan on using to cater to the diverse range of student needs, interests and english level.
