I have gained many practical ideas for teaching new material. Not just in teaching english but in anything as many of the ideas and methods can easily be transferred to other subjects as well.
The ESA model has been particularly helpful for me as it creates a great skeleton on which to build your lessons. I have no doubt that I will be using this model in my current teaching job (not just in english). ESA gives room for engaging different skills, areas of the brain and learning styles.
