This unit was quite helpful because I had no prior knowledge about teaching writing and listening so this was particularly useful. I learnt that it’s very important to prepare well for this class and not just pick a random text for them to read. The text has to be appropriate for their level but still challenge them a bit. Just by being a student myself I find that one of the most important things to do is to keep things interesting no matter what you are teaching. It looks like that can be quite easy with receptive skills since you have a lot of options and material to choose from.
