The main thing I learnt from this unit is that you should pre-teach complex vocabulary or structures. I always thought that you teach about complex vocabulary and/or structures after the students read a text or listened to a documentary/film/interview/etc. That way you elicit the students in trying to figure out what the word(s) mean by knowing what the context of the text or sentence is about.
