A very interesting unit. Just goes to show how complex english grammar is. I don't find it hard to understand my students when they report being confused by certain parts of the language. I've tried teaching conditionals to my oldest students and had mixed results. The direct/indirect speech was simpler to teach and practice with the students but the conditionals needed more attention
