This unit gave a detailed insight into how we use our reading and listening skills. I can understand how a purpose can affect the way we read and listen. It was good to read about techniques to help with better understanding. I can also understand that it is important to create interest whether or not the students are interested in the topic. Variety in topic and materials are important.
