It is important to make sure that we remember that all skills are equally important regardless of what skills we believe work better for ourselves. While some people are more kinesthetic learners others will be more receptive to other styles and when you are teaching in a group environment not everybody is the same. It was great for me to learn the difference that using authentic and non-authentic language may have on the students. It is also a good reminder for me that depending on the reason we are reading or listening to something will impact on how we take in the information and in what form we review the information such as skimming
