The bigger gain for me from this course would have to be the concepts used in defining the parts of a lesson using the ESA method. I’ve been teaching in South Korea for few years and I’ve been making lesson plans for a while now but the ESA format is one of the most straight forward and simplest lesson planning formats I’ve ever come across. I plan on using this outline in all of its variations to produce future lesson plans. I have also learned a great deal of grammar that I had either forgotten or don’t even remember learning in the first place. Certain things that I knew (just because they made sense) but could never explain properly can now be properly explained/taught to another person. All the grammar units from this course will become awesome resources and references to the future grammar lessons that I have to teach. Though I’ve been teaching for some time now, I feel that this course has given me added experience and information to continue doing what I’m doing and enjoy it a little more. The course has offered different approaches, ideas & methods, and activities & games as well as useful resources to approach teaching in an even more exciting way.
