This section deals with classroom management and effective ways to ensure students are in an atmosphere that is conducive to learning. The most important thing i learned from this chapter was the effectiveness of different seating arrangements and several examples of how to deal with keeping the whole class's attention. I particularly enjoy the subtleties of the example of using a student's name last when asking a question instead of first in order to keep the whole class on edge paying attention in case their name is called. I also suspect this chapter is one i will want to revisit when teaching once i have learned a school's discipline code in order to make a discipline plan that is as effective and efficient as possible.
