I found this unit interesting as it gave a rounded perspective on using course books. I now understand that they have their place in the classroom but should not be used all the time as the students could get bored and the lessons would become less creative and less active. They should be adapted or used to supplement the learning. They can also be helpful in providing levelled work to assess the ability of students. I would use authentic materials where necessary
