This section was helpful because it pointed out pluses and pitfalls of all the different types of teaching materials that can be used. It seems that a mix of having a course book to help provide some structure and then suplementing that with created and authentic resources is in most cases the best course of action. The teacher needs to be flexible and adapt to the class though. Some students may really dislike the text book so maybe more supplementary materials need to be provided.
