In this unit I learnt about the different ways of teaching reading and listening skills to students. I learnt about the potential problems experienced with teaching and learning of receptive skills. I found the outline of the typical receptive skills lesson very useful. I also found it interesting that there are different ways to approach a lesson and that there is no strict right or wrong way to approach a lesson. The keys to a successful receptive lesson will definitely come in handy when I am writing up my lesson plans next year.
