In unit 2 I learned the importance of having a general understanding of grammar and sentence structure in order to maintain the confidence my students have in me. I also learned that there are so many rules in the English language that we fluent speakers never identify. We simply say what sounds correct. In addition, I became familiar with the different parts of speech and their roles in forming a complete sentence.
