This unit was about parts of speech. We looked at sentences and learned to label the different types of words that make up a sentence. A sentence has a subject and a verb. Some sentences have objects. The subject is a noun that does the action. The action is represented by the verb. The object is the noun that has the action done to it by the subject. There are also adjectives, words that describe the nouns and adverbs, words that describe the verb. There are articles, the is a definite article, a and an are indefinite articles because with the we are referring to a specific noun, a and an refer to something more general. Strangely, I enjoy studying grammar however, I do find that it is hard to write a sentence and think of the parts of speech at the same time.
