English grammar is composed of various elements that come together to make language. As a teacher and native speaker, many elements of grammar may come second nature, but it is important to have the ability to describe and teach learners. From basic sentence structures of noun, verb, adjective to more complicated variants. This unit gave me a better understanding of English grammar - although I fluently speak English. I can now "put the puzzle together"". This unit also gave me the basic insights and tools into getting basic grammar principles across to non-English speaking students. I am sure my confidence level will increase the more grammar I teach." I found this unit quite useful and used it as a revision. It contains very basic notions about the parts of the speech that I already knew, but it is important to review them because sometimes you take some grammar rules for granted and then it is easier to make mistakes.
