I am very thankful for this course and I believe that I have improved my ability to teach english as a Second Language in many ways. It has been very good for me to refresh my grammar in this course. It has been a long time since I have taken an english course and I believe that this course has allowed me to work out my problem areas and I have been able to review areas that I am more established in.
Learning how to organize a lesson plan and efficiently run an esl class has been the area of the course that I have gained the most from. Before the course, I did not realize the amount of preparation that would go into each lesson. When I first started to do the lesson plans, I did not really think that they were that important. As I began to do them and receive feedback, I started see their importance and I felt challenged to make each lesson organized, interesting, and with information that adequately taught the material.
I am much more prepared to teach an esl class than I was when I first started this course. I hope to carry and build on the skills I have learned. I will continue to make lesson plans, research creative activities, and improve my own knowledge of the english language. Thank you so much for all of your help.
