As many scholarly articles define it, globalization is the idea that the world has become more interconnected. The simple outlook on it is that, in a way, the world has become closer through globalization. This is true in many aspects of the changing world such as economics, world trade, language, business, and education. When it comes to education, one aspect of it that has also changed and globalized along with the world is the ability to get an online education. Therefore, online education is a source of globalization. Globalization makes online education possible through the use of technology and people's desires to stay inter-connected.

Motivation has proven to be one of the major challenges teachers face in the classroom, where he/she must, however, engage the students. No matter how you see it, a teacher's personality matters so much in the classroom. Now the question is, how will a teacher improve his student's motivation in the classroom.

I’m writing this essay from the perspective of young learners (4-10years of age) and the role their parents play on their English learning journey.
I have been an ESL teacher for nearly 10 years and I’ve been teaching my private students in my private classroom for about 8 years. It has been an incredible journey.
During this time that I’ve been teaching, I’ve learned many wonderful things about teaching ESL and I have spent much time analyzing and contemplating, trying to puzzle together a clear picture which aspects of the learning process breeds the most conclusive success. I’ve come to realize that this jigsaw is extremely complex and many little pieces don’t always fit neatly together to form a... [Read more]

One of my favorite aspects of teaching is the role of the teacher in the classroom. To some, the role of the teacher is only to teach people information that they then regurgitate during a later exam. However, to me, teaching is a fascinating profession because a teacher is many things to many different students.

Teaching profession today has become more challenging due to the constant development and innovative experiments in the field of education. A role of a teacher is significantly changing. In this era of technology-based teaching, a teacher has to keep himself or herself updated with the latest happenings taking place in the profession. Apart from the personal growth, the teacher also has to focus on professional growth. There are many options available outside in the market which offer help for the same. The best way to achieve this is through ‘Self Analysis’. A teacher must need to evaluate himself as well as his teaching techniques which in result will help him to find out the components he has to improve in,... [Read more]

In the last years, English has become more and more popular worldwide. In most countries, children start learning a second language at an early age. Also in Turkey, the number of schools, universities and language centers where it is possible to learn English has increased significantly. Nevertheless, despite all the efforts and a considerable presence of foreign teachers, it seems that Turkish students find the English language extremely difficult to learn. Turkish students consider the education system the major cause of their school failure because it is too obsolete. I had the opportunity to work as a language teacher in Turkey for several years. This experience helped me to understand why in Turkey... [Read more]

A highly motivated student is one who is goal-oriented, driven by passion and focused. He/she does things from the bottom of the heart. Motivation can be viewed as an internal impulse that brings us to complete an action. Without motivation, there is no action. Motivation is what moves or inspires the learner to achieve set objectives. It's the motor that drives the student to achieve pedagogical objectives. Hence it's an essential tool to equip students with, so that whatever they do it effectively and with perfection.

Japan is a nation that has tried to increase its citizens’ English ability, especially with the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games being held in their country. However, progress has been slow and not fruitful. There are various reasons for this slow stagnation of the nation’s English abilities such as the larger academic system and access to proper education in rural areas. Teaching does not begin or end in the classroom. Because of that, teachers admittedly need help in developing a child’s level of knowledge. The biggest ally or obstacle to an instructor is a child’s parents. While a supportive parent can help reinforce the work that a teacher is doing, negative influence by a parent, and hinder a child’s learning just as much.

People are under pressure to thrive in today’s world and the 21st century in many areas of our lives. Others use the term ‘millenials’ to refer to the group of people who grew up on computers, cell phones and other gaming gadgets presently popular among young people. This, of course, also happens in education introducing the 21st-century teachers and learners.
Having access to any information possible does not require the teachers to spoon-feed the learners, but enables the learners to achieve independent learning by letting them experience making their own choices that result in better learning outcomes. 21st-century teaching is having a learner-centered classroom with personalized instructions accompanied... This I regret.

Early childhood is the period from 0-8 years old, it is a time of remarkable growth with brain development at its peak. During this stage, children are highly influenced by the environment and the people that surround them. We can say further that Early childhood education is a branch of education that relates to the teaching of children from birth to the age of eight, therefore covering infancy, kindergarten and the early school years up to grades 3. So how does storytelling come in? Well, storytelling does a lot here because this stage is very crucial to a child’s early physical, socio-emotional, cognitive and linguistic development.
