It took me quite some time to digest this unit. All the situations that I faced in classroom are basically been mentioned here. The teacher Talking Time section is particularly worth pointing out. I feel that how to find a balance between Asian and Western students is crucial. The former is good at memorizing and the latter prefers fun learning. I have experienced teaching a large mixed-ages-and-races group. I would just do grammar and vocabulary taking from Oxford 3000 for the whole class. The adult students' main problem is always the lack of confidence using english language after a short interaction with them. I did not focus on management the class. I do more on teaching. This unit gives me another option in teaching Spoken english.
